I was unable to locate a photo of the SS Beloit Victory. all of the victory hull ships are basically identical.
Most of the various merchant hulls, C2, C3, C4 and Victory hulls have been modified for special service and many were used as US Navy transports, ammunition ships and other configurations. The USS Magoffin was such a vessel modified as a US Navy Attack Transport.
When I took the job as AB Deck Maintenance, the ship was loading grain in Oxnard, California. The trip was to deliver the grain to Korea and then the ship was to sail to India for scrapping.
I did not sign on for the voyage and that was the last Victory ship I was ever on.
